What is Laserlipolysis?

A body to turn heads

SmartLipo® is a novel technique developed in the U.S., designed especially to remove excess fatty tissue through the selective interaction of laser beam with adipose cells. The result is the breakdown of cell membranes and removal of fat content, either naturally or through a low negative pressure suction.

This is one of the most popular cosmetic treatment for laser liposuction; the non -invasive "liposuction light" is the answer for those who want to remove any undesirable accumulation of fat in the body.

The FDA (Food & Drugs Administration) of the United States recognized the Laser Liposuction as a useful technique to model the body of those who have localized fat difficult to remove by other methods.

The brand new procedure removes fat deposits in areas where it is difficult to reduce through diet and exercise. It is a minimally invasive procedure with which adipocytes are destroyed without damaging other tissues.

Laser assisted liposuction or laser liposuction is designed to combat the visible effects of lipodystrophy, an uneven distribution of body fat. Laser liposuction is the result of an increased demand for aesthetic surgical applications prompted that ensure a good outcome for the patient, reduction of risk and simplification of the task of the physician.

As more women and men want to look and feel better, laser liposuction continues to grow in popularity, making liposuction the most popular cosmetic surgery performed today. Laserlipolysis or laser liposuction is the first and only laser-assisted lipolysis system to offer a revolutionary and minimally invasive procedure for fat removal. The use of a high power laser, Laser SYNUS is a procedure with less downtime and side effects than traditional liposuction.

How does Laser Lipolysis or laser liposuction work?

After local anesthesia is inserted into fatty tissue just beneath the skin a small tube with a fiber laser is used, it is moved forward and backward while the laser energy goes directly into the fat cells and disintegrates them, facilitating drainage. The laser beam is transmitted through an optical fiber that is 300 microns in diameter. Diluted grease is extracted through a 3mm tube without causing more damage to the area, leaving skin virtually unmarked.

The heat produced destroys the walls of the fat cells and liquefies fat within them, while cauterizing blood vessels, preventing bleeding and hematoma. Depending on the areas being treated the procedure may last between 20 minutes and two hours.

The laser liposuction is used in: arms, knees, chin, hips, abdomen and flanks. However, this treatment is not for everyone. The ideal patient is thin and is in shape, and just needs to get rid of stubborn and localized fat. It is not recommended, or used in cases of overweight patients.

The procedure results in less bleeding, swelling, bruising and provides a faster recovery than with conventional methods of liposuction since the laser enables the small blood vessels to immediately coagulate upon contact.

Patients only need to wear the belt two to four weeks instead of 6-12 weeks and can return to work in a couple of days.

What kind of laser is used?

Laser Jobs SYNUS Novadiode 30

Belletza Medical Spa uses the he Novadiode Synus 30. It is a diode laser with a wavelength of 980 nm; and hand piece adjustable focus spots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm in diameter. It is considered one of the best in the world, and meets a multitude of aesthetic and dermatological functions. There is no other in the city, and very few in the country. It has a laser guide beam, intensity red light, variable surgical fibers 400 and 600 microns thick and a fiber bridge for use with a hand piece. Optical fiber passes through the liposuction tube which is connected to a vacuum aspiration.

Its characteristic, the laser wavelength Synus Novadiode 30 retracts offering a dermal collagen skin aging solution, flattening of keloids, and hypertrophic scars and stretch tissue recovery.

Since 1974 when liposuction was born in Italy, thousands of patients worldwide have undergone procedures such as the aspiration syringe, dry and wet liposuction, internal ultrasound, external ultrasound, superficial liposuction, infusion and suction pumps, among others. However, scientific studies have reflected clear evidence of the disadvantages of these procedures these include: the breaking of the veins found in the fatty tissue, which generates a considerable loss of blood; subcutaneous holes that are hard to fill; and bruising and fibrosis which often never disappears.

Given these risks and post-operative discomfort, cosmetic surgery has implemented a new way to remove excess fat and shape the figure of men and women, through the technique of laser liposuction, a procedure performed for laser liposculpture, that through Novadiode Synus Laser system 30, breaks the cell membranes of adipose transforming it into an oily substance easily absorbed or extraction.

The heating that occurs in the fat cells causes physicochemical phenomenon known as liquefaction, which produces an oily substance absorbed by the body it is then remove by direct extraction by vacuum aspiration or syringes. If left in the body this emulsion is released into the bloodstream and then the liver metabolizes it like any other fat.

The treatment may be outpatient or if the extraction is large it can be a short hospitalization. The technique is refined so as to significantly reduce postoperative discomfort, bruising, swelling in the treated areas, and other common symptoms associated with other surgical body contouring methods.

Collagen shrinkage and reorganization of the dermis are other results generated by this laser, these contribute to proper retraction of the tissue. Because the Laser Synus Novadiode 30 allows cooling time of the tissues it eliminates possible burns which may arise with other computer. Tissue trauma is also reduced making residual fibrosis less likely.

Scars are from 1 mm to 3 mm in diameter, and the procedure can be performed under any anesthesia, preferably local, regional (epidural) neuroleptoanalgesia or general.

The body typically improves day by day and the results are stabilized within 20-30 days. The method allows patients to quickly resume a normal social life.

The results are permanent, resulting in a flattering figure as long as you follow medical recommendations. This technique offers distinct advantages such as fewer traumas, possibility of a less invasive procedure, reducing recovery time and postoperative effects and less blood loss.

The result is dramatic, immediate, and continuous improvement in the following months.
